UAF reveals losses of more than UAH 1.3 billion: preliminary results of the audit published

An audit of the Ukrainian Football Association for 2015-2023 revealed an outflow of more than UAH 1.3 billion due to losses from transactions with offshore companies, misuse of deposits, and overpriced procurement.
The Ukrainian Football Association has released the preliminary results of the audit of its activities for 2015-2023 conducted by the independent audit company AC Crowe Ukraine. According to it, the outflow of UAF assets of more than UAH 1.3 billion was recorded due to losses caused by transactions with offshore companies, losses of funds through the use of deposits, and expenses associated with overstating the cost of purchased goods / works / services. This is reported by the UAF, UNN reports.

"In January 2024, immediately after being elected president of the UAF, Andriy Shevchenko announced a comprehensive audit of the association's activities. Its first results are now known, and the final document should be completed within three months," the statement said.
It is noted that at this stage, the audit company has identified an outflow of UAF assets in the amount of UAH 1 billion 342 million 900 thousand.
"The main losses were caused by transactions with offshore companies, losses due to the use of deposits, and expenses related to the overstatement of the cost of purchased goods/works/services. The above data is preliminary and subject to final approval. The final results of the audit will be made public upon completion of the analysis," the UAF said.

In late January, Andriy Shevchenko was elected as the new president of the Ukrainian Football Association. The decision was made by delegates at the UAF's extraordinary Congress. Shevchenko replaced Andriy Pavelko, who had held the position since 2015. Pavelko is currently involved in a case of embezzlement and has been placed in a pre-trial detention center.
